About Yasmin Rombola-Bacchus
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I came to this work through my own experience of mental health challenges, and through the deep gratitude I hold for the therapy that helped me. That path changed what I believe: that every person who walks into a therapeutic space is already the expert on their own life. My job is not to direct you. It is to stay curious alongside you, and to help you see the strengths and resources you are already carrying.
Our work together is collaborative. I take a non-directive approach, which means the pace, the direction, and the shape of what we explore belongs to you. I draw on psychodynamic therapy (which focuses on understanding patterns rooted in past experience), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a structured approach that looks at how thoughts and feelings connect), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, which builds skills for managing intense emotions), and trauma-focused approaches. I also work with somatic and attachment-based methods, and I hold a particular interest in how cultural background shapes the inner life. I use humour when it fits, because not every difficult conversation has to be solemn to be real.
I am part of Saalvio's clinical team. My practice is fully virtual. Before you book anything, you can send me a message with whatever you need to ask. The first session is free, and there is no pressure to continue.
Approach to therapy
Yasmin takes a non-directive, integrative approach drawing on psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-focused care, and somatic and attachment-based methods. She works with children (6+), adolescents, and adults, with particular attention to cultural identity and cross-cultural experience. Humour is part of her work when it belongs.
