About Madeeha Ahmed
You do not need the right words yet. A lot of people who come to see me are still looking for them. That is okay. We can find them together.
I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Over the last five years, I have sat with people through anxiety that will not let them rest, depression that makes getting out of bed feel too hard, and trauma from things that never should have happened. I have also worked alongside people carrying the weight of a workplace injury, a hard move, or a chapter of life they did not expect.
I believe your struggles make sense. They came from somewhere real: your life, your relationships, your culture, the things you were taught, the ways you learned to get through. My work is not to tell you that any of that is wrong. It is to sit beside you, understand what those patterns have protected you from, and help you build new ones that fit who you are now.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. I keep learning as I practise, and I bring evidence-based approaches to fit what each client actually needs. I provide virtual psychotherapy to people across Ontario, in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
Outside of my practice, I am still learning too. I believe small, honest changes, taken one at a time, are how real change happens.

You do not have to know if therapy is the right move. You just have to have a question. Ask Madeeha whether she has worked with someone carrying what you are carrying. Ask if she speaks the language your grief actually lives in. Ask anything you need to know before you trust her with it. There is no cost and no commitment, and no one is keeping score on how long you take to decide.
