Mental Health Conditions We Treat in Ontario

Find the right mental health therapy for you

A note about mental health diagnoses

Reading about a condition here is not the same as a mental health diagnosis in Ontario. Only a regulated clinician can give you one, and you do not need one to reach out to us. You might recognize yourself in a few pages here and not have any of these conditions. You might be carrying emotional difficulties that do not fit neatly into one label, and you still deserve care.

Many behavioural health struggles travel together. A person with anxiety often carries some depression too. A person recovering from burnout often carries anxiety too. We treat the whole person in front of us, not just the words on this page.

We currently cover 8 concerns in depth. We will add more as we build out our resource library.

Or book your free 30-minute consultation directly

Tell us a little about what is going on, in whatever words you have right now. Your free 30-minute consultation is a real conversation with a member of Saalvio's clinical team, so you can decide together whether this feels like the right fit. It is not a full therapy session. A fuller conversation about what you need comes once online therapy begins. There is no cost and no obligation to continue.

A few common questions

Do I need a diagnosis before I book a consultation?

No. You do not need a diagnosis or a label to book your free 30-minute consultation. Your therapist will ask what brought you here and help you figure out the next step together.

What if my experience does not match any emotional health condition listed here?

That is common, and it is fine. Message a therapist and describe what you are feeling in your own words. Emotional health looks different for everyone, and there is no wrong place to start.

When should I consider therapy for mental health symptoms?

You may want to consider therapy when mental health symptoms are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, sleep, emotional wellbeing, or ability to enjoy activities. You do not need to wait until your symptoms become severe before reaching out for professional support.

What mental health conditions do therapists treat?

Saalvio therapists currently provide support for concerns including anxiety and anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, PTSD, trauma and complex trauma, ADHD, burnout, and postpartum mental health conditions. The appropriate type of therapy depends on your symptoms, goals, circumstances, and clinical needs.
