Mississauga is a South Asian city in many ways, and Saalvio was started by South Asian Canadians. That shapes how we work, without ever limiting who we serve.
Therapy in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Pashto is available with specific therapists. Tell us your preferred language when you reach out, and we will match you honestly. If that match takes longer than an English-speaking match, we will tell you so up front.
Faith-respectful is not the same as faith-based. We do not bring a religious framework into the room unless you do. A practising Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, or secular client can all work with the same therapist.
Family-aware therapy treats your family as a real, ongoing part of your life, not a problem to be solved by "just setting boundaries." For many Mississauga clients, family is not optional, and the work is about finding your way through it, not cutting it out.
Saalvio is one part of the wider mental health support available to Peel Region residents, alongside your family doctor, community agencies, and hospital-based care.
