1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. The browser sends the cookie back on later visits so the site can remember things like your preferences or whether you are logged in. Local storage and session storage work similarly. We treat all of these together in this policy.
2. The cookies we set
2.1 Strictly necessary
- saalvio_country: remembers your country selection (CA / US / INTL) for one year. Without it, we'd ask you to pick a country on every visit.
- saalvio_lang: remembers your language. Set when you switch languages.
- wordpress_logged_in_*: set when an admin or therapist logs into the back end of saalvio.com. Standard WordPress session cookie.
- wordpress_test_cookie: WordPress probes for cookie support on login.
- wp-settings-*: remembers admin preferences inside wp-admin.
- __cf_bm, cf_clearance: Cloudflare bot-management cookies. Set by our CDN to keep the site fast and to filter abusive traffic. Cloudflare's privacy notice has more detail.
2.2 Measurement
- _ga, _ga_*: Google Analytics 4. We use GA4 to understand which pages are useful and where users get stuck. We have IP anonymization turned on. We do not link analytics events to personal accounts.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: cookieless. No identifiers stored on your device. Used in addition to GA4 for privacy-friendly aggregate stats.
2.3 Cookies we do NOT set
- We do not run Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other social-advertising tracker.
- We do not sell or share cookie data with third-party advertisers.
- We do not use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles.
3. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Each browser is a little different; search for "cookie settings" in your browser help. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working (for example, the country switcher may not remember your choice). Measurement cookies are safe to block at any time.
4. Changes to this policy
We update this Cookie Policy when our cookie list changes. The 'Last updated' date at the top reflects the most recent change.
