Who Saalvio works with on the partner side

Family physicians and nurse practitioners

When a patient needs talk therapy and your wait list is long, refer them to us. Ontario clients are typically seen within two weeks. The free 30-minute consultation means the patient can decide on fit before any money changes hands. We operate as a therapist referral service Canada physicians can count on.

Walk-in clinics and primary care groups

When your clinic sees more mental health presentations than its on-staff capacity can handle, Saalvio is a regulated next step. We can set up a referral protocol so your front desk has one number to give patients. We provide full mental health support for clinics that need a dependable overflow partner.

Employers and benefits teams

Add Saalvio alongside your EAP and extended health plan as part of a broader employee mental health platform strategy. Two common shapes: a sponsored session pool invoiced monthly, or a preferred-provider arrangement where employees use their extended health plan with faster intake.

Employee assistance programs (EAP’s

Saalvio is not yet in-network with major EAP networks. If you want to add our clinical team to your employee assistance programs mental health support providers roster, start with the partnerships line or the inbox above.

School boards and post-secondary institutions

Student mental health programs need capacity, cultural responsiveness, and fast intake. Our clinical team includes therapists experienced with teenagers, university students, and immigrant families. Contracts are typically annual with a session pool sized to the student population.

Other clinicians and clinics

If your scope does not match a client (different modality, language, or jurisdiction), our partnerships team takes warm handoffs. Think of it as a way to refer a therapist online to a regulated, trusted next step.

About Saalvio: What partners need to know

Legal entity: Zen Mind Inc., operating as Saalvio. Incorporated in the Province of Ontario. Registered head office in Vaughan, Ontario.
Clinical team: Registered psychotherapists (CRPO) and registered social workers (OCSWSSW). The Clinical Director and other team members are named on our About page. Saalvio does not employ physicians, psychiatrists, or psychologists. We are a regulated talk-therapy practice.
Geography: Psychotherapy: Ontario today, with staged expansion to other Canadian provinces and the US. Thrive AI (our CBT chatbot) and the separate guided CBT self-help tools, calming music, and cognitive games: Canada and the US.
Format: Fully virtual practice. Secure video sessions on a PHIPA-compliant platform. No in-person consulting rooms at this stage.
Capacity: Intake lead time is currently within two weeks for new Ontario clients. We grow the team in step with referral demand so wait lists stay short.
Reimbursement: Receipt-based, not direct billing. Receipts meet Canadian extended health carrier requirements.

Compliance posture

PHIPA: Personal Health Information Protection Act. Ontario clinical records are managed under PHIPA. Saalvio acts as a Health Information Custodian for clinical files.
PIPEDA: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. Applies to commercial handling of personal information across Canada outside of clinical custody.
HIPAA-aligned: Our Thrive AI, guided tools, and app infrastructure run under signed Business Associate Agreements with US-based subprocessors. A formal HIPAA audit is scheduled ahead of US psychotherapy expansion.
Law 25: Quebec's modernized privacy framework is under formal evaluation. Saalvio does not yet claim Law 25 compliance and is not currently accepting Quebec psychotherapy clients.
Insurance: Each Saalvio psychotherapist holds their own professional liability insurance as required by their regulator. Clinical liability rests with the registered clinician, not with Saalvio as the platform. Saalvio separately carries cyber liability coverage at the corporate level. Certificates available to partners under NDA.

How to refer a client

Tell the client to book directly. Patients can book directly through saalvio.com/book. and begin their care journey without needing a referral. Their first 30 minutes is a free consultation with the CANADAHEALS program, giving them a chance to explore therapy and determine whether it feels like the right fit before making any financial commitment.
Tell the client to message a therapist first For patients not yet ready to commit, pre-booking messaging ets them write to any Saalvio therapist with questions about approach, scope, language, or fit. No cost, no commitment. This is how we make the Ontario structured psychotherapy program referral process feel safe for people who have never talked to a therapist before.
Send the client our way directly If you prefer to make a direct referral, simply send the client's basic contact information along with a brief clinical summary. Our team will review the information, reach out promptly, and guide the individual through the next steps while ensuring a smooth intake experience.
