By accessing or using the Saalvio website or mobile app, you agree to comply with our Terms and Conditions. Saalvio provides non-emergency mental health services, including virtual therapy sessions, wellness tools, and educational content. All therapists available on our platform are licensed professionals; however, Saalvio acts solely as a facilitator and does not replace in-person or crisis care. You are responsible for maintaining accurate personal information and using the platform respectfully and legally. Session fees, subscriptions, and any recurring payments are clearly displayed before checkout, and users may cancel bookings within the specified timeframe to qualify for a refund.
Your privacy is important to us. All personal data, including session content, is encrypted and handled according to our Privacy Policy. Saalvio reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts in the event of misconduct, abuse of services, or violation of these terms. We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of any changes. Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully. By accessing or using Saalvio’s website and mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms, including any additional terms that apply to specific features or services. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Acceptance of Terms
Zen Mind Inc. (“Saalvio,” “we,” or “us”) provides mental health support through our platform (including self-help tools, an AI-powered chatbot “Thrive-AI”, and therapy provided by licensed psychotherapists in Ontario). Your use of Saalvio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated into these Terms . Your use of the Services indicates your acceptance of these Terms. We may modify these Terms at any time by updating this page; continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 16 years old to use Saalvio. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Saalvio only with parental or guardian consent. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself . You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If your account is compromised, notify us immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
Use of the Services
Saalvio offers self-help content, an AI chatbot “Thrive-AI” for non-emergency support, and live therapy sessions with Ontario-licensed therapists. You acknowledge that Saalvio does not itself provide medical or psychiatric services. The chatbot and tools are intended for general support and education; they are not a substitute for professional therapy. Any therapy sessions are provided by independent therapists; Saalvio facilitates the connection.
Medical Disclaimer: The Services are provided for informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition . Saalvio is not a licensed medical provider. We do not provide emergency services; if you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency (e.g. suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or danger to others), do not use Saalvio. Instead, immediately call your local emergency number (e.g. 911 in the U.S & Canada. or 999 in the U.K.) or a suicide crisis line . Always consult a qualified professional for any concerns you have about your health. We disclaim any responsibility for how you use the Services or for any decisions you make based on them.
User Conduct and Prohibited Uses
When using Saalvio, you agree not to:
- Use the Services for any purpose other than as permitted by these Terms. You may not exploit, sell, resell, or use the Services for any unauthorized commercial purpose.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse any Saalvio staff, therapists, or other users.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or provide false information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Saalvio’s systems or servers.
- Interfere with security or impose an unreasonable load on the Services.
- Engage in any activity that is illegal or violates applicable laws.
Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the Services. Saalvio reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts at its discretion.
Privacy
Your use of Saalvio is subject to our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to our collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy . In particular, you consent to the processing of your health and personal data as necessary to provide the Services.
Subscriptions and Payments
Some Saalvio services may require payment (e.g. subscription for premium content or therapy sessions). If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. Cancellations must be made according to our cancellation policy (posted in your account or on our site). All fees are non-refundable, except as required by law. If your payment is declined, Saalvio may suspend your access until payment is resolved.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, code, and software used on or by Saalvio (the “Content”) are owned or licensed by Saalvio. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission. Any trademarks or logos displayed on Saalvio are the property of Saalvio or their owners. Your use of the Services does not grant you any rights to Saalvio’s intellectual property beyond a limited license to use the Services.
User-Generated Content
If you submit any content to Saalvio (such as feedback or forum posts), you grant Saalvio a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content on the platform. You represent and warrant that you own or have permission to use any content you post. Do not post any content that infringes on others’ rights or violates these Terms. Saalvio is not responsible for user-provided content.
Disclaimers of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Saavio makes no warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement . We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content, and users rely on the Services at their own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, neither Saalvio nor its officers or affiliates will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption) arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Services . Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the Services (if any) during the six months prior to the event giving rise to liability, or $100 if you have not paid. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saalvio and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of others.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario or by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act (Ontario). To the extent permitted by law, YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH SAALVIO BY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION RATHER THAN IN COURT . This means you waive any right to class action lawsuits. If any portion of this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in force.
Changes to Services and Terms
Saalvio may modify or discontinue the Services (or any part thereof) at any time without notice . We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on our site. We will indicate the date of the latest revision. Your continued use of Saalvio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Consent to Clinical Forms
By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of your personal and health information as described in our Privacy Policy and in any clinical consent forms required to provide care (including, without limitation, the Psychotherapy Consent Form (FRM_CA-ON_RPOps0001)). To the extent permitted by applicable law, your electronic assent to these Terms constitutes your authorization for Saalvio, its clinicians, and authorized agents to collect and use information as set out in those forms and to take the actions contemplated therein (including communications with other health-care providers where clinically appropriate). If you elect to receive psychotherapy services, you may be required to complete and sign additional consent or intake documents before therapy begins; those documents supplement this Terms agreement and may include further disclosures required by HIPAA, PHIPA, or professional regulatory bodies. You may withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with the Privacy Policy; withdrawal will be effective prospectively and may limit your ability to receive certain services.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with any additional terms posted by Saalvio, constitute the entire agreement between you and Saalvio regarding the Services. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remain in effect. Waiver of any term must be in writing by Saalvio. References to “including” or “such as” are illustrative and not limiting.
